Alex Kargas

Alex Karagas is the new Coordinator for Student Involvement and Leadership. A native of Birmingham, Alex earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from UA in 2008, and is currently enrolled in thePhD program in Educational Psychology. In her role as Coordinator, Alex serves with student organizations management of the over 350 student organizations in helping develop policies and procedures. Alex also serves in running the ticket system and creating leadership resources on campus.

Joshua Burford

Josh has been working for the University since 2005 helping freshman students get connected to engagement opportunities in the Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas. Josh will continue his work with special populations including first generation, out of state, tranfer, and minority student populations in the office of Student Involvement and Leadership and will also work with faculty engagement. Josh also advises Spectrum, the undergraduate LGBTQ organization. Josh loves to travel, participate in environmental service programs, and work with marginalized communities. Josh also teaches for the American Studies department offering classes in youth culture, and Queer history.

Kristy Cole is a graduate of the University of Alabama and works with student organization registration, the SOURCE, and supporting the adminstrative work of the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership.
Osielia Lewis

Osielia Lewis reccived her bachlors degree at Stillman College. Osielia runs the day to day operations of Student Involvement and Leadership and assists students in locating involvement opportunities.
