Celebrating the Creed
Capstone Creed Week is organized by the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, with events sponsored by various campus organizations. The purpose of the week is to celebrate the ideals laid out in the Capstone Creed, introduced to the University in 2000 by the Student Leaders’ Council. The Capstone Creed binds all members of the UA community together in the attainment of specific goals, and it is a reflection of the core values of the University of Alabama. Each year, the Capstone Creed Week has a different theme with different events. At the end of each week, Capstone Heroes, students, faculty, staff, or organizations that exemplify the values laid out in the Creed, are honored at the closing ceremony.
