Freshman Forum Team Information

 

Freshman Forum is made up of five leadership communities:

Community Outreach

  • Works hand-in-hand with the UA Community Service Center
  • Plans and participates in dozens of service projects in the Tuscaloosa area
  • Promotes volunteerism on campus
  • Connects leadership and service in practical ways

Creative Campus

  • Works hand-in-hand with the Creative Campus/Creative Community Initiative
  • Attends, promotes, and critiques visual and performing arts events on campus and in the Tuscaloosa area
  • Connects leadership and creativity in practical and meaningful ways

Ethics & Social Responsibility

  • Works hand-in-hand with the UA Center for Ethics & Social Responsibility
  • Examines moral and ethical issues in both local and global contexts
  • Reaches out to address and offer solutions to societal inequities and bring about systemic change

Professional Development

  • Works hand-in-hand with the UA Career Center
  • Explores careers and skills needed to excel in the professional world
  • Practices and applies leadership skills to equip participants for future leadership roles on campus and beyond

Public Policy    

  • Works hand-in-hand with multiple civic groups and community leaders
  • Explores campus, local, state, and federal policymaking processes
